One look at the luminous autumnal trees colored in the most mesmerizing warm hues will bring instant joy to even the most low-spirited of hearts. However, in autumn, it is difficult to remain happy too, because the sublime beauty of those vividly tinted leaves is frail. They all threaten to fall off any day, and before you even know it, they are gone! Anyone who has watched and enjoyed the dazzling colors of deciduous trees will know this.
Yet, the trees of November have one vital message to give, that – endings don’t necessarily have to look dull, they can be made splendid too. And the very impermanence of this splendidness is the reason we must celebrate it, for it’s not just the time of ending, it is the start of renewal too.
Reflecting on this mystical season of autumn, John Muir writes:
Although the dying time, it is also the color time, the time when faith in the steadfastness of Nature is surest… The seeds all have next summer in them, some of them thousands of summers…
This month’s freebies are designed with my surface pattern where I reimagined the trees for Autumn. You will also enjoy my fall-inspired poem “What Is This Place?” from my illustrated poetry book.

Hi Jessye, perhaps like me, you also aren’t a winter fan…probably because of the gloomy weather outside, haha, but then it’s a great time for turning inward! :)
